A hands-on introduction to the craft of live-fire cooking and traditional smokehouse techniques.
Hosted by the DC Smokey Trails pitmaster, guests will learn the foundations of smoking meats, managing wood fires and achieving the perfect bark and smoke ring. The session covers preparation, seasoning and the principles of low-and-slow cooking.
Participants will observe and assist in the preparation of key dishes including smoked brisket, ribs and signature sauces before enjoying a shared tasting of the finished dishes.
The masterclass concludes with a relaxed dining experience and an opportunity to ask questions about techniques, equipment and flavour development.
